Marriott to expand Quan Spa concept in Asia-Pacific region

Marriott International said it plans to open 12 new Quan Spas at hotels throughout the Asia-Pacific region over the next two years.

"Although we introduced our Quan Spa concept only three years ago, Quan is attracting a loyal following among those spa-goers who value authenticity and overall wellness," said Rhett Pickering, Marriott's director of spa operations and development for the region. ".Each Quan Spa will be uniquely inspired by the local culture and concentrate on traditional healing and wellness rituals indigenous to its location."

The next Quan Spa will open at the new Renaissance Shanghai Yuyuan Hotel, debuting later this month. And the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing, scheduled to open in November, will have a nine-treatment room Quan Spa.
