Montage Hotels & Resorts has assumed management of the Residences at Kapalua Bay in Maui.
The property, owned by Lantern Asset Management and formerly known as the Kapalua Bay Hotel, will get a multimillion-dollar facelift this fall.
Once upgrades are complete, the Montage Kapalua Bay will include a 50-suite hotel and 56 for-sale residences under the Montage brand.
Kapalua Bay is on Maui’s northwest corner, about 10 miles north of Lahaina. The area includes the 463-room Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.
Montage operates of luxury hotels in Laguna Beach and Beverly Hills, Calif., and Deer Valley, Utah.
