The Riu Yucatan in Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Riviera Maya will reopen July 27, following a $15 million renovation.
The 507-room, all-inclusive resort is part of a complex that includes the Riu Palace Mexico, Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Riu Playacar, Riu Tequila, Riu Lupita and the Playacar Conference Center.
Upgrades at the Riu Yucatan include a third pool with a swim-up bar, new guestroom furnishings and a new Italian restaurant called Sicilia.
