The Riu Yucatan in Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Riviera Maya reopened on July 27, following a $20 million renovation.

The 507-room inclusive resort is part of a complex that includes the Playacar Conference Center and several other Riu properties.

Upgrades at the Riu Yucatan include a third pool with a swim-up bar, new guestroom furnishings and a new Italian restaurant called Sicilia.
