Marriott International is bringing its luxury St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand to Costa Rica, with construction set to begin this July on a 49-acre spot along the Gulf of Papagayo.

Scheduled to open in early 2027, the St. Regis Papagayo will sit along 1,900 feet of beachfront and have 120 hotel rooms and 143 residential units.

The hotel will have six dining venues, including Casa Club for casual dining; The Cliff, which will serve Japanese and Costa Rican cuisine; Beach Club & Grill; and an outpost of the brand's signature St. Regis Bar & Speakeasy.

The resort will have multiple swimming pools, a spa, a beach club and 10,225 square feet of meeting and event space.

The St. Regis Papagayo will be the brand's first resort in Costa Rica and will add to St. Regis' six existing properties in the Caribbean/Latin America region.
