The Raffles Singapore has reopened following an extensive,
multiyear revitalization project.
Restoration of the luxury property, which opened as the
first Raffles hotel back in 1887, began in February 2017.
The property was partially open during initial phases of the
project but had been fully closed for renovations since the end of 2017.
The all-suite Raffles Singapore now includes three new
accommodation categories: Residence, Promenade and Studio suites. The additions
bring the hotel to a total of nine suite categories and join the property’s
existing State Room, Courtyard, Palm Court, Personality, Grand Hotel and
Presidential suites.
The number of accommodations has also grown, from 103 suites
to 115 suites.
The hotel's Raffles Arcade shopping and dining complex
features several new outlets, including a Raffles Boutique and various other
retail offerings. On the culinary side, the property houses concepts created in
collaboration with chefs Anne-Sophie Pic, Alain Ducasse and Jereme Leung.
The Raffles Singapore's Long Bar, which will continue to
serve the property’s signature Singapore Sling cocktail, has similarly been
updated.
Rates at the refreshed hotel start at approximately $650 per
night.
Part of Accor's luxury portfolio, the Raffles brand recently
announced plans to open a second Singapore location, the Raffles Sentosa Resort
& Spa Singapore, in 2022.
