Wyndham Hotels & Resorts CEO Geoff Ballotti said the
company has initiated a revitalization for Days Inn, the company's largest
economy brand.
During Wyndham's fourth-quarter earnings call, Ballotti said
it will require Days Inn franchisees to "invest in the quality of the
sleep experience and the overall standards."
"We know from our experience with Super 8's new brand
standard that a thoughtful, cost-effective, refreshed program could have a very
meaningful impact on guest experience while driving favorable market share and
operating margin improvements."
Ballotti added that Wyndham plans to introduce new
prototypes for many of its midscale and economy brands.
