Priceline CEO Jeffery Boyd will step down as head of the world’s largest online travel agency on Jan. 1, and will be succeeded by Darren Huston, CEO of the company’s Booking.com division.
Boyd will remain chairman of the company.
Huston joined Priceline in 2011 after working for Microsoft for eight years. He was previously a senior vice president at Starbucks.
Boyd was named CEO of Priceline in November 2002. Since then, Priceline’s share price has jumped to more than $1,000 a share from about $10.
