As part of the Mark Travel Corporation's ongoing integration
with Apple Leisure Group (ALG), ALG's destination management company Amstar has
started to assume operations of Mark Travel's destination services in some locales.
Amstar has started operating as Mark Travel's DMC in Los
Cabos, Mexico and in Jamaica.
Amstar is expected to begin functioning as Mark Travel's DMC
in Puerto Vallarta on June 26, the Dominican Republic on June 28, Costa Rica on
July 2, and the Mexican destinations of Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo and Huatulco on
July 6.
The date for when Amstar will begin operating for Mark
Travel in Hawaii is still to be determined.
In a note to its travel agent partners, Mark Travel
cautioned there could be unforeseen delays in the planned rollouts. Mark Travel
will send agents updated travel itineraries and documents for impacted bookings
once the launches are confirmed.
