PORTLAND, Maine -- Direct Holidays, the newly formed tour division of Scotia Prince Cruises, has introduced commissionable packages incorporating the parent firm's Portland to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, sailings as part of three- to 13-night Nova Scotia vacation packages.

The packages, which were expanded by the tour division in 2002, coincide with the Scotia Prince's seasonal operation, which will be from April 29 to Oct. 27.

Offerings start at $99 per person for roundtrip passage without a car, including an economy cabin and two meals. The Scotia Prince has room for 220 vehicles.

Among the new packages where a car is used are the three-night Evangeline Festival, priced from $264 per person, double, with hotel stays in Wandlyn and Smith's Cove provided.

The new four-night Eco-Adventure Tour, from $324 per person, double, calls for two nights at Brie Island (Nova Scotia) Lodge and one night at the Manoir Lakeside Resort in Yarmouth.

Other packages are themed to nature, romance, history and other interests.

The new, 13-night Ultimate Maritime Holiday, from $771 per person, double, visits Halifax, Beddeck (Cabot Trail) and Prince Edward Island.

Rates do not include security surcharges and tax.
