PORTLAND, Maine -- Direct Holidays, the newly formed tour division
of Scotia Prince Cruises, has introduced commissionable packages
incorporating the parent firm's Portland to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia,
sailings as part of three- to 13-night Nova Scotia vacation
packages.
The packages, which were expanded by the tour division in 2002,
coincide with the Scotia Prince's seasonal operation, which will be
from April 29 to Oct. 27.
Offerings start at $99 per person for roundtrip passage without
a car, including an economy cabin and two meals. The Scotia Prince
has room for 220 vehicles.
Among the new packages where a car is used are the three-night
Evangeline Festival, priced from $264 per person, double, with
hotel stays in Wandlyn and Smith's Cove provided.
The new four-night Eco-Adventure Tour, from $324 per person,
double, calls for two nights at Brie Island (Nova Scotia) Lodge and
one night at the Manoir Lakeside Resort in Yarmouth.
Other packages are themed to nature, romance, history and other
interests.
The new, 13-night Ultimate Maritime Holiday, from $771 per
person, double, visits Halifax, Beddeck (Cabot Trail) and Prince
Edward Island.
