EF Go Ahead Tours announced the launch of three European itineraries after observing high demand for shorter trips.

The tour operator will offer new nine-day trips in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

"Travelers are looking for trips that maximize both time and experience, with immersive cultural learning," said Lael Kassis, vice president of market innovation and development.

The Austria itinerary will visit Vienna, Salzburg and the Alps with experiences inspired by "The Sound of Music." Guests will explore filming locations of the movie and the Austrian Lakes District.

The Germany itinerary will bring guests to Munich, Nuremberg and the Rhine Valley, introducing them to the history of Bavaria. Highlights include visiting the Hofbrauhaus beer hall and Neuschwanstein Castle, which inspired Sleeping Beauty's castle. Guests will stay the night in a castle in the Rhine Valley.

In Switzerland, guests will explore Lake Geneva, the Swiss Alps and Ticino. Travelers will ride the steepest cable car in the world to the summit of the Schilthorn, visit a working alphorn factory and visit Lausanne's Olympic Museum.
