Etihad Vacations, known elsewhere in the world as Etihad
Holidays, has launched a leisure travel division in the U.S. and Canada, and
agents can access its packages on Trisept Solutions’ VAX VacationAccess.
Martin Drew, senior
vice president Americas at Etihad Airways, said in a statement that the company
offers vacation packages to over 100 destinations. Its core focus is on Abu
Dhabi, Dubai, Maldives, Seychelles, Thailand and Australia, and it offers
stopover programs, tours, excursions and car rentals.
Agents will have access to training and content related to
Etihad Airways and Etihad Vacations on VAX.
“Over the past two
years, we have worked with Etihad Airways to enable their global leisure
strategy as Etihad Holidays, which has been implemented on Synapse, our
enterprise operating platform for travel merchants,” said John Ische, Trisept
CEO. “In the past two years, we have powered the launch of Etihad Holidays in
the United Arab Emirates, U.K. and Germany, and now it’s great to bring Etihad
Vacations to our home market where we will introduce Etihad’s outstanding
vacation program to over 70,000 travel agents on our VAX program.”
