Selara Africa, a new luxury tour operator, has launched in the North American market. Selara will sell exclusively through travel advisors.
The company's president is Sherwin Banda, former president of African Travel.
Selara says it "fills a white space in the market, pairing firsthand insight into Africa's luxury hospitality landscape with an approach designed around the needs of travel advisors."
The company said it will "reward business growth," paying up to 15% commission. An introductory incentive enables advisors to earn an additional 2% on booked revenue through March 31.

Selara said commissions are paid in the month of client departure.
The company touted other pro-advisor services, such as behind-the-scenes advisor support throughout the customer's trip, destination education, marketing resources and travel opportunities.
The operator says it offers custom itineraries across Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt, with plans to add more destinations and small-group itineraries.
The bespoke journeys are designed with the belief that no two travelers experience Africa the same way. The team's approach to itinerary design is centered around the client and their travel goals. For example, guests can experience the Great Migration or enjoy a wine-centered trip to South Africa.
