VBR Tours, a provider of escorted and independent rail
vacations under the Vacations By Rail brand, has acquired Canada a la Carte
from Brewster Inc.
Canada a la Carte sells independent vacation packages
throughout Canada, including trips through the Canadian Rockies and to see the
Northern Lights in the Yukon.
“Canada a la Carte is an exciting addition to the VBR Tours
portfolio of brands,” said Todd Powell, VBR co-founder and CEO. “Not only does
the acquisition leverage VBR Tours’ already strong Canadian vacation package
knowledge and expertise, it gives us additional depth in the independent,
customizable vacation package segment, where Canada a la Carte’s expertise is
unrivaled.”
Brewster will continue to operate current reservations
through October, while VBR has begun booking 2017 reservations for Canada a la
Carte vacation packages, with travel agent commission starting at 10%.
