ASTA introduced a course that teaches travel agents how to sell and market Turkey.
The three-section course illustrates how counselors can create vacations that mix history, culture and affordable luxury, ASTA said.
ASTA held its International Destination Expo in Istanbul last month, where the course was previewed.
"Our members were excited to learn more about Turkey and take these ideas home to their clients," said Chris Russo, ASTA president. "This course will allow everyone to sell Turkey easily and expand their client base."
The course covers culture, history, transportation, accommodations and activities. Destinations covered include Istanbul, Marmara, Ephesus, the Turquoise Coast, Cappadocia and Ankara. Each touring region includes subcategories such as getting there, getting around, attractions, dining and entertainment.
The course will be available in June. For a limited time, ASTA will charge $29 for ASTA members and $39 for nonmembers for the PDF. After the introductory period, the price will be $39 and $49 for members and nonmembers, respectively.
