An increase in click rates on travel agency websites is another indicator that demand for travel remains strong.

Passport Online, a technology company that powers thousands of agency websites with its AgentPort tool, said click-through rates, impressions and shopping sessions are all up.

"Our Q1 2023 numbers represent a robust demand for travel, with click-through rates easily topping 1 million every month," Passport Online president Jeanne Colombo said in a release. "We've seen click-through rates reach 22%, which is up 8% over previous years."

Colombo described impressions and unique shopping sessions as "through the roof."

Passport Online tracks the popularity of destinations, and it said Alaska, Mexico and Caribbean cruises remain top searches. River cruising has emerged as a product with "significant interest."
