Altour founder and CEO Alexandre Chemla will leave the travel agency at the end of the year.

Altour is the corporate and entertainment wing of Internova Travel Group, No. 11 on Travel Weekly's 2023 Power List. The company merged with Internova, then known as Travel Leaders Group, in 2017.

Chemla founded Altour in 1991 with a focus on corporate and luxury travel.

"I believe that there are many opportunities for the talented people at Altour, and I am confident that they are all in good hands at Internova Travel Group," Chemla said in a release. "I am committed to a smooth transition as I move on to the next phase of my career."

Before founding Altour, Chemla was a senior executive with Club Med. He has also been an airline and hotel consultant for Hyatt and Disney.

"Alexandre Chemla is an entrepreneur and one of the more forward-thinking leaders in the travel industry, and it has been an honor to work with him," Internova CEO J.D. O'Hara said. "He has made an extraordinary and lasting impact on our company and on our industry."
