Amadeus and American Airlines have inked a long-term distribution deal that lays the groundwork for Amadeus to offer the airline’s ancillary products and services.

The companies said that end-to-end XML connectivity will be developed between Amadeus technology and American’s interface.

Amadeus GDS users will be able to book American’s premium economy seats with extra legroom. Also, the new connectivity will enable American to make personalized offers through Amadeus, the companies said.

“Amadeus agents worldwide will benefit from an advanced solution that transparently displays the full range of American’s products and instantly delivers highly relevant, tailored offers to customers,” said Derek DeCross, American’s vice president of global sales.
