Sabre GDS subscribers this month can begin selling American Airlines' Main Cabin Extra and Preferred seats.

The companies said they have made the inventory available to travel agents using IATA's New Distribution Capability (NDC) messaging standards.

Main Cabin Extra seats are toward the front of the coach cabin and offer passengers more legroom and early boarding. Preferred seats are standard-legroom seats at the front of the cabin or select window or aisle seats.

“This new capability of Sabre moves us closer to our longtime goal of offering our products through as many channels as possible,” said Cory Garner, American's managing director for distribution.
