Angie Licea is leaving Global Travel Collection, Internova Travel Group's luxury host agency.
Licea has been president of GTC since it was formed in 2020. Internova said Licea will stay with the company during a leadership transition and explore other opportunities with the organization.
Licea has held various senior leadership roles at Internova and its predecessor companies since 2012. She joined GTC from Travel Leaders Group, where she was senior vice president and general manager of strategic partnerships.
Before working for Internova, Licea held jobs with US Airways, American Express and Rosenbluth International.
She has led GTC through the unification of the brands that formed it: Protravel International, Tzell Travel Group and Altour Leisure and Entertainment.
"What I'll remember most about leading GTC is the people," Licea said. "We brought together remarkable businesses, but what made it work was the talent, ambition and entrepreneurial drive of our advisors and teams. I'm proud of what we built and especially proud that we did it without losing what makes these businesses special. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and to continuing to contribute to an industry that has meant so much to me."
Internova CEO J.D. O'Hara and Licea are working together to find GTC's next leader. An announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
"Angie took on the challenge of bringing together some of the most established names and accomplished advisors in luxury travel and helped create a stronger, more connected organization," O'Hara said. "Today's GTC reflects her ability to lead through change while keeping advisors at the center of every decision. I'm deeply grateful for everything she has contributed to GTC and Internova more broadly."
