WASHINGTON -- Anheuser-Busch's decision to participate in ARC
demonstrates once again how the airline corporation is using its
ready-made travel agency network and huge economies of scale in
processing agents' transactions to recruit a diverse group of
suppliers.
Universal Studios and Disney were snagged in fall 1998;
Greyhound Lines; Julian Tours of Alexandria, Va., and Kemwel
Holiday Autos joined last year.
Anheuser-Busch was the first supplier that isn't an airline or a
railroad to join this year, effective immediately.
Anheuser-Busch's nine adventure parks are SeaWorld Florida in
Orlando; SeaWorld California in San Diego; SeaWorld Texas in San
Antonio; SeaWorld Ohio in Cleveland; Busch Gardens and Adventure
Island, both in Tampa Bay, Fla.; Busch Gardens and Water Country
USA, both in Williamsburg, Va., and Sesame Place near
Philadelphia.
Not all types of admission tickets can be sold on ARC manual
tour orders and reported in agents' regular weekly ARC sales
reports.
Among the tickets eligible for sale through ARC are one-day
passes to each park, commissionable at 10%. Other products sold
through ARC, commissionable at 12%, are value passes to SeaWorld
Florida and Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay and combination tickets that
cover Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay and Adventure Island.
On the tour order, the yellow service coupon No. 1 is given to
the client as a voucher to present upon arrival at the park.
Complete ticketing instructions for the Anheuser-Busch
attractions are on ARC's Web site at www.arccorp.com and fax-back
service at (800) 811-1608, documents 820 through 828.
Park information is available at www.buschgardens.com, www.seaworld.com and
