CCRA has streamlined the process for TRUE accreditation.

Because of technology that helps expedite applications, it is now easier for agencies to obtain a TRUE code, CCRA said. Additionally, the process has been made more secure due to an identification-verification process.

In order to gain TRUE accreditation, an agency must provide proof of legal structure (like a corporation or LLC) and seller-of-travel licenses for doing business in California, Florida, Hawaii, Washington and Iowa.

CCRA has also created a new position: assistant vice president of TRUE excellence. Holly Carrig-Matthews will fill the role.

Carrig-Matthews has been with CCRA for 11 years. She has been the face of the CCRA Membership Services Division, hosting PowerSolutions Events and member-focused webinars.

In her new role, she will focus on leading the Member Services Division's growth.

Additionally, CCRA's Irene Pasquesi has been named manager of TRUE advisor and supplier success. The role is a new one. Pasquesi, who operated her own travel agency first with an IATA number then a TRUE code, has been with CCRA for six years.

CCRA has also introduced the TRUE Playbook, a guide highlighting TRUE accreditation benefits as well as a new referral program. Other initiatives are being developed to celebrate CCRA's 50th anniversary.
