Cruise Planners has added a river cruises and luxury vacation component to its Completely Packaged Vacations program.
The new Completely Packaged Vacations Elite component will focus on river cruises and luxury vacation packages that include land and cruise travel, transportation, excursions and more.
Cruise Planners said in a statement it introduced the Elite packages in response to demand from agents, an increasing number of whom are focusing on higher-end travel.
As an example, one of the Elite packages is through a partnership with AmaWaterways, according to Cruise Planners. The package includes pre- and post-cruise hotel stays, transfers, the cruise itself and discounted air on four sailings.
"We want our agents to win every sale through customizable programs with the most competitive rates for unique customer experiences, so they can continue to grow their franchises," Vicky Garcia, COO and co-owner, said in a statement.
Completely Packaged Vacations was launched in 2012. The program bundles rates for popular cruise ports and itineraries, for instance, in Hawaii, Alaska and the Caribbean. Packages can include car rentals, hotels and cruise excursions or tours, and agents can book any number of the packages with no minimum number of bookings.
Agents also have access to an in-house concierge team at Cruise Planners to help them add custom upgrades to an established package or negotiate with vendors for a new package.
