Ensemble creates luxury certification program: Travel Weekly

Ensemble has launched its Luxury Certification Program, designed to give member advisors the skill set to sell luxury travel.

Ensemble created the program with the Travel Institute.

Ensemble has been emphasizing luxury sales in recent months. The consortium has a partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board to highlight the island's luxury properties and offer a certification program focused on luxury tourism in Jamaica. It has also launched Luxe Circles, a community for member advisors who focus on luxury.

The consortium also last year hired Beth Butzlaff as its senior vice president of global partnership. Butzlaff joined Ensemble after roles at Internova's luxury division Global Travel Collection and a 14-year stint with Virtuoso.

"Our new Luxury Certification Program exemplifies Ensemble's commitment to continuous growth and excellence in the luxury travel sector," Butzlaff said.

The program has nine modules, covering everything from the scope of the luxury market and its current trends to finding luxury travelers to presenting luxury products to clients.

After finishing the modules, advisors take a final exam. They are also required to submit an "experiential checklist" that illustrates their work related to luxury travel in the past five years, Ensemble said.

Graduates earn the title of Certified Luxury Advisor.
