Ensemble Travel Group is mandating that all U.S. members
also become members of ASTA.
It is Ensemble's first membership deal with ASTA. The
Society's president and CEO Zane Kerby called it a "major landmark"
for the two organizations.
The consortium joins peers who have supported the Society
with some kind of membership deal, which ASTA said helped its growth in recent
years.
As a result of Ensemble's deal, 242 new members will join
ASTA. Of those, five will be premium members. Agency memberships start at $345
per year and vary based on the agency's size.
Premium memberships begin at $3,270 per year.
Ensemble now becomes eligible for the 2019-20 consortia seat
on ASTA's board of directors. The consortium will take that seat during the
ASTA Global Convention that starts Sunday.
"We are proud of our alignment with ASTA,"
Ensemble CEO David Harris said in a statement. "The advocacy role they
play on behalf of travel advisors in all areas of business from legislative,
educational and member resources will benefit Ensemble members in many ways and
will be vital to our continued success."
