Flight Centre Travel Group-owned travel agency Envoyage has committed to putting all 200 of its advisors through the ASTA Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) certification program.
Envoyage initially committed to sending 100 advisors through the program in October. That has "gone extremely well," and 100 advisors will be enrolled by the end of December, said Christina Pedroni, Envoyage's executive vice president and general manager USA. Seventy have already passed the exam to become VTAs.
"We anticipate continued growth in the new year to achieve our goal of 200 certified members in 2026," she said.
Envoyage believes the certification will set its advisors apart as trusted professionals. It noted the rise of AI as a planning and booking tool as well as "an influx of new to-industry hobbyist advisors" as factors in its support of the VTA program.
"With misinformation everywhere and vacations tied to some of life's most meaningful moments, travelers deserve confidence in who they trust -- and that's why we want them to know they can rely on an Envoyage verified advisor," Pedroni said. "Alongside ASTA, we're committed to helping the traveling public easily find a trusted professional."
As Envoyage advisors earn their VTA certification, they will be spotlighted on the network's new consumer-facing website.
