Looking for love in all the wrong places? Try your next trip instead.

Thanks to Flight Centre's "Captain Cupid" service, solo travelers can be paired with someone on their next flight, cruise or tour. The service goes live in May.

Captain Cupid is a new function on Flight Centre's app. It's not just a gimmick, but based on a trend the company has noticed: 42% of its travelers are traveling solo and that number is increasing, said managing director Andrew Stark.

"In the last six months alone we've seen the number of solo travel bookings leap 6% globally," he said.

Captain Cupid is "long overdue," he said.

Stark hopes Flight Centre's service will become "an industry benchmark for blind travel dating into the future." He painted a compelling picture, encouraging singles to imagine sitting next to the person of their dreams for hours.

Hopeful singles can start setting up their profile now by downloading Flight Centre's app.

Flight Centre was No. 7 on Travel Weekly's 2022 Power List.
