While most travel advisors are reporting flat holiday bookings year over year, the clients traveling are spending more in 2025, according to preliminary results from a Travel Weekly poll.

Travel Weekly has been polling travel advisors in November and December, seeking to understand booking patterns and how travel agencies and their clients have been impacted by consumer confidence and the economic outlook.

Based on preliminary results, 46% reported the volume of bookings for the holiday season -- Thanksgiving through New Year's -- is about the same as last year. Thirty-seven percent said bookings were slightly (22%) or significantly (15%) lower, while 17% said bookings were slightly (14%) or significantly (3%) higher.

Preliminary results show 42% said the value of bookings, or average per-trip spending, was about the same as last year, while 37% reported spending was slightly (27%) or significantly (10%) higher than last year. And 21% reported booking value was slightly (12%) or significantly (9%) lower.

The poll is still open. It takes most respondents less than 10 minutes to complete.
