Travel agency consortium MAST Travel Network has renewed its agreement to subsidize dues
payments for members that join ASTA.
The deal, which lasts for two years, allows MAST network agencies
with annual revenues of less than $5 million to join ASTA for $149 per year.
MAST agencies with revenue of more than $5 million will pay annual dues of
$249.
Last June, MAST became the first consortium to sign a subsidy
agreement with ASTA. The move began a trend. Since that time, Virtuoso has begun
subsidizing ASTA dues for its agencies while Signature Travel Network and
Travel Leaders Franchise Group have made ASTA membership mandatory for their
agency affiliates.
“We thank all MAST members, and
particularly president and COO John Werner, for recognizing all we do to
promote and defend the travel agency community,” ASTA CEO Zane
Kerby said in a statement.
ASTA has doubled the
number of MAST agencies it represents, Kerby added.
MAST Travel Network is
comprised of 210 agencies in Canada and the Midwest.
