LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- National Processing Co., whose NPC Travel
Services unit handles ticket processing for the Airlines Reporting
Corp. agreed to buy JBH Travel Audit Inc., of Denver.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
NPC officials said the deal is part of its strategy to expand
its line of services for the travel industry. "This move provides a
broader product offering for our customers," said Bob Johnson,
executive vice president of NPC Travel Services.
NPC Travel has more than 20 years experience in providing
airline ticket processing and financial settlement services for the
airlines and ARC. NPC said it is the exclusive provider for U.S.
travel agencies and the airlines.
NPC also provides consolidated travel agent commission
settlement service, called NPC Commission Express, for hotels,
cruise lines, car rental companies and tour operators. This service
processes all commissions into a single payment per travel agent at
no cost to travel agencies.
Jan Hanson, president of JBH said the deal, "Strengthens our
ability to provide exciting new travel industry products well into
the future."
