Travel insurance company Allianz Global Assistance USA (formerly Access America) has named Mike Nelson CEO, effective July 1.
Nelson replaces Beth Godlin, who will join Fusion Company, a technology venture spun off from Allianz Global Assistance.
Jon Ansell, chairman of Allianz Global Assistance USA, also will join Fusion Company, a startup that will use analytics and marketing to personalize travel insurance offers.
Godlin and Ansell founded Access America in the 1980s.
Nelson comes to Allianz from Orbitz Worldwide, where he most recently was president of partner services.
Nelson had been with Orbitz for 11 years and was part of the management team that launched the business.
