American Orient Express is offering two themed itineraries this spring on alternating routes between New Orleans and Washington.

The jazz-themed Antebellum South itinerary departs New Orleans on March 15 and 30 en route to Washington. The rail journey visits Vicksburg, Miss.; Savannah, Ga.; Charleston, S.C.; and Charlottesville, Va.

The Civil War & the South trip, meanwhile, departs southbound March 22 and April 6. The tour visits the same cities as the Antebellum South itinerary, with additional stops in Jackson, Miss., and Richmond and either Charlottesville or Fredericksburg, Va.
