Sabre to spend $500M to upgrade data center

Sabre said it will invest more than $500 million over the next several years to expand and upgrade its data center in Tulsa, Okla.

Sabre also said it will add as many as 1,000 jobs at the Tulsa facility over the next decade, bringing the total to more than 3,000.

Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating said the Sabre investment is the largest economic development announcement in Tulsa's history.

Construction on the expansion will begin in early 2000 and is expected to be completed in spring 2001.
