-- The Travel Institute here unveiled a new Destination Specialist
Mexico retailer educational course.
The Institute
already offers destination specialist courses on a dozen countries,
regions and cultures -- including Africa, the Caribbean, East Asia,
European Culture and Heritage, France, Hawaii and St. Lucia -- as
well as a new series of lifestyle specialist courses covering
topics such as gay travel and skiing.
The new Destination
Specialist Mexico course was produced in partnership with the
Mexico Tourism Board and covers three topics: a Mexico overview;
the 10 distinct regions of Mexico; and selling the
destination.
The program
addresses sales tips and strategies, tour products, niche markets,
sample itineraries, cruises and Internet research. A study guide
with Spanish pronunciation tips and a map of Mexico is
included.
