MIAMI -- Sherry Sbarsky died June 13 following a year-long struggle with lung cancer. She was born here on July 5, 1956.

During the past eight years, Sbarsky was a travel journalist, writing for the magazines Town & Country, Civilization, Porthole and Travel Agent.

Sbarsky also was a travel agent, working with Classic Cruises in Los Angeles. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, who has held executive positions with Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises and, most recently, Norwegian Cruise Line.

She also is survived by her mother, Trudy Lorber; her sister, Terry Lamorte, and her cat, Tabby.

Sbarsky will be honored at a memorial service on June 19 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
