ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- In light of the impact of the Iraq war on travel
agency revenue, Vacation.com will immediately distribute supplier
overrides to members.
Normally, the payout is several weeks after the end of a
quarter, but Vacation.com said it wants to assist members when they
need it most.
In some cases, Vacation.com will front the money still due from
suppliers, the company said.
Vacation.com also is making immediate payment of its first
AgentNet MarketPlace incentives, which reward members for
electronic bookings and are due after customers travel.
In addition, the Amadeus-owned agency group said it is
increasing support for its customer relationship management
programs, hosting emergency teleconferences designed to help
members confront today's challenges and adding relevant content to
the program for its annual conference set for July.
