NEW YORK -- Expedia Travels magazine is discontinuing publication
after the November issue.
The weak economy, the decline of dot-coms and the Sept. 11
events were factors in the decision to close Expedia Travels, said
a spokeswoman for Ziff Davis Media, the magazine's publisher. Ziff
Davis published the magazine through a licensing agreement with
online travel company Expedia.
The spokeswoman referred to the terrorism incidents as "the nail
in the coffin for a new travel magazine."
