PHILADELPHIA -- Rosenbluth Interactive is going where no travel
agency has gone before by guaranteeing airline service booked on
its Biztravel.com Web site.
The Biztravel Guarantee pays $100 for flights arriving 30
minutes late, $200 for flights arriving one hour late and a full
refund for canceled flights.
The guarantee, which also covers meal selections, seat
assignments and baggage delivery, applies to Air France, American,
British Airways, Continental and US Airways.
Rosenbluth Interactive president Neal Bibeau told Travel Weekly
that Biztravel.com selected the airlines based on its "level of
confidence" in their service and their geographic coverage, adding
that it has no contractual arrangements with the five carriers
under the guarantee.
He said the plan will not likely spread to other airlines but
could be expanded to cover other suppliers, such as hotels and car
rental firms.
