Travelport on Wednesday launched Travelport+, a platform that it says includes a more simplified interface with richer content and capabilities.
Travelport+ offers more dynamic and differentiated content from multiple sources and is faster and more frictionless than the company's previous platform, Travelport said. It includes NDC content, air-ticket exchange tools and a point-of-sale solution for travel agents.
Travelport said the platform's "better retailing and merchandising capabilities" will lead to higher-value bookings. New merchandising capabilities will enable retailers to cross-sell and upsell through dynamic offers.
CEO Greg Webb said in a statement that Travelport+ represents a "multiyear investment to accelerate industry innovation in travel retailing."
"Bringing together the best of Travelport's existing capabilities and tools and driving innovation to deliver the unmet needs of our industry, Travelport+ truly changes the game in the speed of delivery of modern travel retail and offers a fundamental upgrade to travel technology," he added.
