ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- IJet Travel Intelligence, a company that provides
pretrip advisories for international travelers, entered into an
agreement with Worldspan.
Under the agreement, iJet will provide Worldspan its WorldcuePro
service, a continuously updated Internet database that covers 150
countries.
Worldspan agencies will have access to iJet's service through
Worldspan Go!, the CRS's Web-based reservation platform.
Worldspan said agents will be able to provide international
travelers with instant, personalized intelligence reports before a
trip and instant alerts when conditions change at a destination
before or during a trip.
IJet aggregates information in several categories, including
health, weather, security, culture, communications, transportation
and entry/exit requirements. The company operates a 24-hour
intelligence center here.
IJet said it scours more than 3,000 sources of information on
the Internet, including Web sites run by the State Department and
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The company launched earlier this year, signing Prudential
Securities as its first corporate client.
