CIRQUE DU
SOLEIL has announced plans for a new production to feature
magician Criss Angel at the Luxor Resort & Casino in summer
2008. This Cirque du Soleil creation, the company's sixth major Las
Vegas production, will combine the radical illusions and
imaginative style of Angel with the acrobatics, dance, puppetry,
music, and poetry that have made the pioneering circus a household
name. Show creators promise to reinvent the traditional magic show,
taking audiences on what they deem "a bizarre and fascinating
journey." Audiences may know Angel from the "Criss Angel Mindfreak"
television show on A&E; he has been named Magician of the Year
five times by the International Magicians Society. For more

TAX
DAY can be like a shark: Every year it sneaks up and bites
us. Visitors to Las Vegas can stare that shark down at Mandalay Bay
Shark Reef's sixth annual "Take a Bite Out of Tax Day" event.
Forget the feeding frenzy at the post office: Shark Reef works in
conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service on to establish a mail
station at the entrance to Mandalay Bay's Shark Reef on tax day,
which this year is April 17. Guests who mail their tax form from
Shark Reef between noon and 10 p.m. that day will receive one pass
for free admission and a Shark Reef t-shirt. Postal employees will
be on hand to assist with postage, and every envelope receives a
special Shark Reef cancellation stamp. For more information on the
hotel, call (702) 632-7777 or visit www.mandalaybay.com.
