SOUTHWEST
AIRLINES VACATIONS and LasVegas.com signed a deal that
makes the former the exclusive provider of vacation packages for
the latter, enabling travelers to book a complete vacation package
via LasVegas.com. Plans call for LasVegas.com to have Southwest
Airlines Vacations packages available for booking this month.
LA FEMME AT
MGM GRAND, which is performed daily except for Tuesdays at
8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., will be dark Dec. 9 through 23. The show, a replica of the acclaimed Crazy Horse
production in Paris, will return to its regularly scheduled
performances Dec. 24. Two shows also will be performed at 8 p.m.
and 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 27, its regularly scheduled dark day. On New
Years Eve, the show will have performance times at 7:30 p.m. and
9:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $59 and can be purchased at MGM

LAS VEGAS
CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE is inviting all city residents to
participate in filling the Centennial Time Capsule that will
commemorate the 100-year history of Las Vegas. Through Nov. 14,
residents can submit their ideas of what they think should be
included in the time capsule online at www.lasvegas2005.org. Then, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
Nov. 14, residents can bring the items that they would like members
of the Centennial Committee to consider for inclusion in the time
capsule to Hall A of the Cashman Center. The items, which must be
small enough to fit in a shoebox, will become the property of the
City of Las Vegas and will not be returned. At 11 a.m. on Dec. 15,
there will be a time capsule dedication ceremony featuring Mayor
Oscar B. Goodman and members of the Centennial Committee at
Centennial Plaza, located on Fourth Street near Lewis
Avenue.
THE ART OF PETER MAX GALLERY at
the Forum Shops at Caesars will host an in-gallery exhibition with
world-renowned artist from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 25 and from 1 p.m.
to 4 p.m. Nov. 26. Beginning Nov. 21, gallery visitors can view the
installation of paintings that will be on display during the event
and available for purchase. For each work of art purchased, Max
will inscribe on the back a personal dedication and drawing. Max
has been designated as the official artist of the 2006 Winter
Olympic Games, which will be held in Torino, Italy, and will reveal
the new image he has created for the event during the in-gallery
exhibition. In addition, the gallery will debut a painting Max
created to commemorate the 60th birthday of golf legend Jack
Nicklaus. The acrylic on canvas work is hand-signed by both the
