Universal Beijing Resort officially opened to the public on Sept. 20. The resort includes Universal Studios Beijing, the company's fifth and largest theme park.

The debut includes the ticketed theme park as well as two new hotels and Universal CityWalk Beijing, an entertainment complex with an IMAX theater, restaurants and a range of shops.

Universal Studios Beijing includes more than three dozen rides and attractions spread over seven themed sections of the park, in addition to 24 shows and performances that run throughout the day across the resort.

The seven themed lands are: Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers: Metrobase, Minion Land, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood and WaterWorld.

The two new hotels are Universal Studios Grand Hotel and the NUO Resort Hotel, both operated by Key International Hotels Management, a partnership between Beijing Tourism Group and Kempinski Hotels.

Located near the park entrance, the 800-room Universal Studios Grand Hotel honors Hollywood's Golden Age from the 1920s to 1960s with its décor and memorabilia collection. The property features three dining options: Lotus Garden, Red Dragon Lounge and California chain Peet's Coffee.

NUO Resort Hotel is located on the banks of the park's waterway. The 400-room luxury property includes a spa, indoor swimming pool, meeting space and fitness facilities.

The three dining outlets are signature Chinese restaurant JIA; Café Royal, serving Mediterranean dishes and Asian-inspired cuisine; and the Lobby Lounge, dedicated to showcasing Chinese tea culture.
