The Bahamas and Barbados each have revised entry regulations regarding Covid.

The Bahamas now offers an option for vaccinated travelers to select either a negative rapid antigen test or an RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Unvaccinated travelers 12 and older must continue to present a negative RT-PCR test within three days of arrival.

A rapid antigen test now is required for all travelers staying in the Bahamas longer than 48 hours (two nights), regardless of vaccination status. This has replaced the former requirement for visitors to take a rapid antigen test on the fifth day of their trip.

Travelers to Barbados also have an option to present either a valid negative Rapid COVID-19 PCR test done within one day of arrival or a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test result done within three days of arrival.

Nasal swab samples, saliva samples, self-administered tests (even if the sample was taken under the supervision of a healthcare provider), home kits and rapid antigen tests will not be accepted for entry.

Unvaccinated travelers must quarantine at a pre-approved accommodation, take a PCR test on day five and await results.

Correction: Rapid antigen tests are not accepted in the Barbados; incorrect information appeared in an earlier version of this article.
