Island Routes Caribbean Adventures launched a tour series in
Jamaica aboard its 65-foot double-decker Calipsoul, a catamaran in Ocho Rios.
The vessel is equipped with an all-inclusive bar, DJ booth,
snorkeling equipment, a water slide and a crew of 11.
There are three cruises available: the Dunn's River
Catamaran Cruise, four hours, $109 per person; the Family Reggae Cruise, four
hours, which includes an extensive snorkeling tour, $109; and the Lover's Rock
Catamaran Cruise at sunset, two and a half hours, $95.
The company also introduced three land programs in Jamaica,
using Mini-Cooper cars to explore Ocho Rios, Portland and Montego Bay.
Each tour features an island escort who leads guests along
the various routes.
The full-day tour to Portland includes heritage sites,
Jamaican folk dancing and a taste of authentic jerk, priced at $450 for up to
two passengers ($550 in a convertible).
The half-day Montego Bay tour is $350 for two passengers,
$450 in a convertible, and includes a river rafting adventure, tour of Falmouth
and visit to a jerk center.
The half-day Ocho Rios program, priced at $350 and $450,
respectively, visits Dunn's River, a working farm and a jerk center.
