The all-inclusive, 228-room Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Cap Cana broke ground in late October and is slated to open in 2021.
The $150 million development marks the introduction of Margaritaville to the Dominican Republic. The resort will be the second Karisma property in the DR.
It is also the fourth resort planned for the Island Reserve collection, a partnership between Karisma and Margaritaville, with properties set to open in 2020 in Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Jamaica.
The new-build, family-friendly property on Juanillo Beach will offer three pools, a spa, a Parakeet's Kids Club, seven restaurants and three bars -- including Margaritaville's signature 5 O'Clock Somewhere bar. A concierge team of Island Ambassadors will handle guest requests and arrangements.
