Melia sets Dec. 15 reopening for Coco Beach resort in Puerto Rico

Melia Hotels & Resorts will reopen the Melia Coco Beach in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, on Dec. 15.

The resort was damaged by Hurricane Maria last September and is undergoing a multimillion-dollar, propertywide renovation.

The 486 guestrooms comprise 480 junior suites and six oceanfront villas.

The Level, the brand's elevated service concept, will be offered in 126 of the junior suites as well as in the villas.
Level guests have access to a private lounge with premium beverages and light bites served during the day, a private pool, preferential bookings at on-property restaurants and concierge services.

The resort will have a number of curated packages for weddings and honeymoons, a spa and discounted green fees at two 18-hole golf courses.

Rates start at $230 per room, per night, double.
