In a move to simplify travel planning, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on Nevis eliminated its MAP (Modified American Plan) rates that cover room, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. The resort now offers daily rates that include the room and full poolside breakfast.
The historic plantation, whose Great House dates from 1778, no longer offers specials or packages and has dropped its minimum-stay requirement during the holidays and peak winter season.
The new daily rates are consistent on every shopping platform, according to Tim Thuell, general manager.
"Guests who book direct with the hotel or through a travel agent receive the same rates, which is also the guaranteed best rate," he said.
The rate through June 1 starts at $273 per night, double, depending upon which of the 36 cottage-style accommodations is selected.
"The changes were done in part due to guest requests. As a small, independent resort, we learned through ongoing dialogue with guests that with so much of the marketplace offering either daily rates or all-inclusive pricing, MAP could be confusing as guests considered rates," Thuell said.
Guests can purchase add-on meal plans or the resort's all-inclusive plan in advance of their stay.
Guests also can customize their visits with add-on experiences such as the several-hours-long $750 Alexander Hamilton program that features an island tour with a visit to Hamilton House, a candlelight dinner for two and a facial for two at The Palms Spa at Nisbet.
Roundtrip transfers from St. Kitts and Nevis airports continue to be included with stays of five or more nights.
