Two new properties will join the accommodations inventory on the island of St. Martin later this year.
The debut in late December of the all-inclusive, adults-only Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa in French St. Martin will mark the entry of AMResorts on the island.
The resort, a conversion of the former Riu Palace St. Martin, will add swimup suites to the total inventory of 258 suites.
Facilities will include a spa, six dining options, meeting space with a capacity for 200 people and what the resort says is the largest infinity pool on the island.
In St. Maarten on the Dutch side of the island, the 124-room Morgan Resort & Spa plans to open Dec. 15 on the site of the former Alegria hotel near the airport and the Sunset Bar & Grill.
Depending upon the time of year, rates for a double room at the Morgan Resort will range from $149 to $199, and junior suites will be priced from $169 to $219.
Facilities will include 10 handicapped accessible rooms.
