Atlas Ocean Voyages' first ship, the 196-passenger World Navigator, launched on Wednesday from Athens.

The ship will sail seven- to 12-day Egypt and Greek isles cruises during its inaugural summer season. Then the World Navigator will reposition to South America to offer nine- and 12-day sailings to Antarctica.

Atlas brands its cruise style as "luxe adventure." Cruise line president Alberto Aliberti said Atlas is the industry's first new luxury brand in more than 20 years.

"World Navigator is designed to bring today's luxury travelers on genuine, cultural experiences and adventures to remote and fascinating destinations around the world," he said.

Atlas sailings include unlimited alcoholic beverages and specialty coffees, plus a choice of a complimentary land excursion at every port. The World Navigator features a SeaSpa by L'Occitane
